1954

玉成戲院已開業多年，可容納 800 人，是南港最熱鬧的大眾娛樂場所之一。YuChen Cinema has been open for many years, seating 800 — one of the liveliest public entertainment venues in Taipei.

2001

納莉颱風重創戲院，停業荒廢長達 15 年。The cinema was severely damaged by a typhoon and remained abandoned for 15 years.

2016

Andy Baker 將老戲院改建為玉成戲院錄音室，保留挑高結構作為自然聲學條件。Andy Baker converts the old cinema into YuChen Recording Studio, preserving its soaring ceiling for natural acoustics.

2017

以錄音室為核心發起 CINEMAPHONIC Live Sessions，至今逾 60 組音樂人、160+ 支作品。CINEMAPHONIC Live Sessions launches from the studio — to date, over 60 artists and 160+ films.

昔日為玉成戲院的「銀廳」，如今化身成多樣貌的空間。不論是拍攝、演出、劇場、藝術表演、脫口秀、市集或是 DJ、VJ show，都可以在這裡發生。

空間挑高 8 米，四面各具特色的牆面、無樑柱的完整場地，可依照不同活動需求自由佈置與規劃，是充滿彈性的多功能場域。

Once the 'Silver Hall' of YuChen Cinema, this space has been reimagined for endless possibilities — shoots, performances, theatre, art shows, stand-up comedy, markets, and DJ or VJ sets can all happen here.

With an 8-metre ceiling, four distinctively textured walls, and a completely open, column-free floor plan, the space can be freely configured for any event — a truly flexible, multi-purpose venue.

FOUNDER / 玉成戲院錄音室創辦人FOUNDER

Andy Baker

錄音／混音師Recording Engineer · Founder of YuChen Recording Studio

出生於美國聖路易斯，19 歲移居喬治亞州雅典，踏入音樂圈。他早期以 Bass 手身份隨各地巡演，同時專研錄音工程，逐步累積深厚的音樂製作資歷，並曾與 R.E.M.、The Mercury Program、Japancakes 等知名樂團合作。2007 年 Andy 移居臺灣，2016 年將臺北南港區一座廢棄的老戲院重新改建，正式成立玉成戲院錄音室。2017 年創辦 CINEMAPHONIC Live Sessions。

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Andy Baker moved to Athens, Georgia at 19 and entered the music world. He toured widely as a bassist while studying recording engineering, building deep production experience along the way, and has worked with acclaimed bands including R.E.M., The Mercury Program, and Japancakes. Andy relocated to Taiwan in 2007, and in 2016 converted an abandoned old cinema in Taipei into YuChen Recording Studio. In 2017, he founded CINEMAPHONIC Live Sessions.
